E-Z-GO History

In 1954, E-Z-GO was founded in a one-room machine shop in Grovetown, Georgia. Thanks to a strong passion for designing cars that meet the individual needs of our customers, we are now the world’s largest manufacturer of golf cars and utility vehicles.

To help further establish the E-Z-GO name, we became part of Textron in 1961. This global, multi-industry company is home to various market-leading operations in aircraft, industrial, and finance; and includes companies and brands such as Cushman, Jacobsen, Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Kautex, Lycoming and Greenlee. Thanks to this multi-billion dollar, publicly held corporation, E-Z-GO has instant access to the resources needed for worldwide expansion.
